Pressure High Over All New Zealand Following is the weather report and the forecast' for winds and seas issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. today: Pressure is again high over all the New Zealand area. In south-eastern Australia it is falling and renditions are disturbed, also, in the tropics. Forecast: —Winds: Strong easterlies in the far north, otherwise light to moderate and variable with south-east to north-east predominating.. Seas (N.Z. Waters) : Rather rough to rough north of the Bay of Plenty; otherwise slight, to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate and variable winds with south-east to north-east predominating. Seas slight to moderate.

YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Wellington: Fine and warm witli a light northerly breeze. Maximum temperature yesterday, 71.9 degrees; minimum on Tuesday night, 55.2 degrees. At 3.30 p.m. yesterday the temperature was 70.6 degrees and barometer reading 30.331 inches. Palmerston North: Clear sky, bright sunshine and very warm, with a light south-east breeze. Masterton: Fine, with passing cloud and light westerly wind. Wanganui: Blue sky and light south-westerly breeze. Sea smooth. Tlie. barometer reading at 4.30 p.m. was 30.40 inches. New Plymouth: Calm with bright sunshine; barometer at 5 p.m. 3.20 inches. Waipukurau: Extremely warm day witli beautiful sunshine, a maximum temperature of 82 degrees and a barometer reading of 30.40 inches. Napier .and Hastings: A return to midsummer weather, the day being line and hot with, a light easterly breeze. Auckland: Fine and sunny with a light to moderate north-east wind, the maximum temperature being 72 degrees. Barometric pressure was high and fairly steady with a reading. at 5 p.m. of 30.35 inches. Christchurch: Fine and clear with strong sunshine and a gentle southwesterly breeze. The maximum temperature was 70.6 deg. and the barometer at 5 p.m. read 30.32 in. and was falling slowly. Dimedin: Fine and warm witli a light north-east breeze and passing clouds. Tlie maximum temperature was 68 degrees and tlie barometer was steady nt 30.45 inches.
