A line of £5 was imposed by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday, on Edwin George Thompson, carpenter, aged 24, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault. SubInspector D. J. O’Neill prosecuted and Mr. J. A. Scott appeared for accused.
