Carpenter Remanded In Wellington
“Our inquiries are not yet quite completed and I must ask for another remand. There may be other charges.” said Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle in the Magistrates’ Court, ‘Wellington, yesterday, when asking for a remand till March 22 in rhe case of William George Alexander Phillips, carpenter, aged 63, who was charged with bigamy. The remand was granted by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M. The police alleged that accused was married in ‘Wanganui on November 14. 1925, and that on July 19, in Wellington. he went through a form of marria " with another woman.
