Unlawful Conversion Of Motor-Truck “Accused is already serving six months’ imprisonment for thefts from his employers in Timaru,” said Detec-tive-Sergeant P. Doyle, in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday, when Charles Edward Faluail, labourer, pleaded guilty to the unlawful conversion of a motor-truck, the property of Thompson Bros., in Wakaia, Southland, on December 17, 1938. Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., sentenced Falnall to three months’ jail with bard labour, the term to start at. 'the expiration of the sentence now being served.

Detective-Sergeant Doyle told the Court that accused was employed by Thompson Brothers on their farm in ■the Southland district, and on December 17 was lent the truck tor a journey to Wakaia, the condition being that he returned to the farm that night. Accused failed to return and a search of the district did not reveal any trace of accused or the truck. Accused went to Gore, the detectivesergeant- added, and left there on the morning of December 18 without paying for bis night’s lodging.
