ANNUAL MEETING

Jenkins’ Swords Academy The annual meeting of the Jenkins Swords Academy took place this week. Several new members were welcomed. The club captain.presenting his report for 1938, referred to the success ol Mr. T. Wilson iu obtaining his diploma in fejicing from the British Association of Physical Training, and Io matches with teams from the s.s. Durham and 11.M.5. Achilles. The club had combined with the Wellington Swords Club in some enjoyable evenings, • the fencing ami sabre work being of a high standard. He also mentioned the exhibitions given during the year, and the part the club had played in endeavouring to add to the success of Physical Fitness Week. It was with great regret that they had to record the resignation of Mr. T. Wilson, club in structor. who would in future be living in Auckland, but tlie appointmeiit of Miss Fetigy Fallaver as instructress was popuIttr. , , The election of officers resulted:— President.
