Shallow Depression Over Western Tasman

Following is the weather report and forecast for winds and seas, issued by the Meteorological Office for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. today:— General situation: A shallow depression is located over the western Tasman Bea, and conditions are disturbed in the tropics. Over New Zealand and south-eastern Australia, however, pressure is high. Forecast. —Winds: Light to fresh north-east' to north-west at first over most of the country, but southerlies in the far south and gradually extending northward over most of the country. Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate generally, but rather rough at times in Cook Strait and on the east coast of North Auckland.
