SEAMAN REMANDED ON ASSAULT CHARGE

Charges of assaulting Joseph Halligan and using obscene language in a public place were made against a seaman in the I’ort Denison, Matthew MacNcill, in the Mmristrales’ Court today. lie admitted using obscene language, but a remand for a week was granted on the assault charge on a police application because the extent of the injuries to Halligan was not known.
