MIRAMAR ESPERANTO SOCIETY

The Miramar Esperanto Society me 1 , on Monday. The president, Air. Bertram Potts, J.P., congratulated the officers of “La Esperantista Kultura Rondo de Aliramar,” which was formed last week. The new organization was primarily established to train new teachers and give members of the “Rondo” an interest, in cultural matters through Esperanto, which language only would be spoken in the meetings. Eight new members were enrolled and several classes were formed for tuition. The senior group staged a “mock court,” in which the evidence was entirely heard in Esperanto, and proved both amusing and’ instructive. Air. Potts presented a further episode in “Kolonelo Ebenezar Alarzipan.” This monologue, entitled “Dankon, S-ro Agio” (“Thank You, Mr. Eagle”), was understood for the most part even by the beginners, words and expressions being carefully chosen for that -purpose. At the conclusion the director of tuition. Air. James E. Wells, dealt with several words and phrases used in the sketch, showing how r clearly Esperanto was allied with many Englisl: words.
