Mrs. Denton Tanner and Miss Nancy Tanner, Havelock North, who recently returned to New Zealand from England, are visiting Christchurch. Mrs. Kelvin Hammond, Huntervllle, is the guest of Mrs. Bruce Stringer, Papanui Road, Christchurch. Miss Mary Simm, Karori, Wellington, is spending a holiday in Hawke’s Bay. Recent Wellington visitors to the Chateau Tongariro were Mr. and -Mrs. S. Holm, Miss Holm, Mr. and Mrs. J. I-I. Nicholson, Dr. and Mrs. Hardwick Smith, Mr. ’and Mrs. B. Tait, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Norman, Mrs. L. C. Dyon, Mrs. E. A. Dyon, My. W. K. and Mrs. G. Cook. Returned To Wellington Mrs. J. W. Carr, Thompson Street, Wellington, and Miss Valerie Carr have returned from the south where they were the guests of the Rev. and Mrs. Allon Carr, Hokitika, and Mrs. Mc-Deod-Sniith, Merivaie, Christchurch. Mrs. J. P. Campbell has returned to Wellington, after visiting her mother, Mrs. N. J. Kirk, Hatuma, Hastings. Returned Home Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Todhunter, Lake Heron, Canterbury, have returned from a tour of the North Island. Mrs. F. K. Faulkner returned to her home in Havelock North on Saturday after a fortnight in Wellington.

Going Abroad Mrs. K. Bosher, Brooklyn, and Mrs. M. Jackson, Newtown, will leave by the Wanganella on Thursday for Sydney where they will join the Orion for a seven months’ tour of Great Britain. Mrs. I. C. Faville and Miss Rona Faville, Christchurch, will leave Wellington this week for a holiday visit to Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McKenzie, Christchurch, will leave this week from Wellington for a trip to England and Europe. Mrs. George Hamner, Christchurch, will leave tomorrow for Wellington to join the Wanganella for Sydney, where she will connect with the Orion for a trip to England. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. -Morgan, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, will leave tomorrow for Wellington to join the Wanganella for Sydney. They intend to spend five or six weeks in Australia. Mrs. E. B. Mabin and Miss Ruth Mabin, Nelson, will leave shortly for a visit to Singapore.
