RAILWAY NOTICES. ZEALAND RAILXVAYS. TRENTHAM RACES, MARCH 17 AND 18, 1939. Race trains leave XVellington at frequent intervals from 10.30 a.m. (17th), 10.25 a.m. (ISth), to 11.10 a.m.. with additional ordinary trains 8.45, 9.55, 10.8 a.m. and 12.16 p.m. Friday, and 8.45, 9.55. 10.8, 11.51 a.m.. 12.16, 12.48 and I. p.m. Saturday. Return trains at intervals after the races. Return fare 5/6, which includes admission charges to racecourse. On Friday and Saturday usual 8.32 a.m. and 10.13 a.m. Wellington-Upper Hutt trains will leave AVcllingtOn 8.45 and 10.8 a.m. respectively. On Friday and Saturday the usual 7.48 a.m. Cross Creek-Masterton railcar will leave Cross Creek 7.33 a.m., Featherston 7.50, XVoodside Jn. arrive 8.1 a.m,; thence usual times. On Saturday the usual 11.40 a.m. Wel-lington-Upper Hutt train will be duplicated. The first portion will run to Melling only, and will stop at all stations. The second portion (dep. 11.51 a.m.), will be a non-stop to Lower Hutt, and will run through to Upper Hutt, making the usual stops between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt. On Saturday special passenger train for Wellington, stopping where required, leaves’ Upper Hutt 4.28 p.m., Trentham 4.3-1, Lower Hutt 5-10- M'ellington arrive 5.29 p.m. On Saturday the usual 5.10 Upper Hutt-Wellington train will leave Upper Hutt at 5.36 p.m., Trentham 5.42. Lower Hutt 6.16. XVellington arrive 6.35 p.m. On Friday and Saturday special passenger train for Trentham leaves Masterton 7.23 a.m., Carterton 7.44, Featherston 8.15. Trentham arrive 10.52 a.m. Return train leaves • Trentham 5.25 p.m.. Masterton arrive 8.10 p.m. Stops where reouired for passengers. On Friday train leaving Trentham 4.32 n.m., and on Saturday, trains leaving Trentham 4.34 and 5.7 p.m. arrive M’ellington in time to enable Manawatu passengers to catch train to Palmerston North leaving Wellington 5.47 p.m. On each day trains to Wellington leave Palmerston North 7.4 a.m. (express'), and 7.12 a.m.: later train arrives Wellington. 10.49 a.m., enabling passengers to catch 11. a.m. race special from "Wellington.
