Tramp Round The Bays

Weather conditions were far from ideal for the weekly meeting of the Wellington Combined Road Walking Club at Lyall Bay on Saturday. Several members were competing at the championships m Napier. but the remainder set out on a long training spin round to Evans Bay, Point Halswell, and round the bays via lurakina Bay to Lyall Bay. Dumble, Sinclair and Reid set a smart pace over the full distance. . Next week’s walk will again take place fr«om Lyall Bay, and will be a long walk in training for the Hutt Road M alk Cup race, which takes place on March 2u.
