On New Zealand Currency Basis

The Bank of New South Wales, Wellington, quoted the following rates for their purchases and sales of foreign exchange yesterday:—

The Associated Banks (other than the Bank of New South Wales) quoted the following dollar rates yesterday on a New Zealand currency basis. They are subject to alteration without notice.

Max 50 Stores Ltd. Max 50 Stores, Ltd., is being formed in Melbourne with a nominal capita l ot £lOO.OOO to establish and operate a chain of 50 retail frock shops in Victoria, lasmania, and elsewhere. The company will take over the shops at Geelong and « arr nambool already being carried on as Max 50 Stores, and the lease of a shop at W arin For public subscription there are being offered 25,000 £1 preference shares of 7 per cent., participating to 10 per cent., and 15.000 £1 Quinary shares. Mr h.
