BODY WASHED ASHORE
Man Missing From Ship By Telegraph- Press Association WESTPORT. March 12. Tlie body of Herbert Scoliay, aged about 35 years, a single man who was missed from tlie Kaiimii, the Westport Coal Company’s vessel, on February 28. shortly after the vessel left Westport for Auckland, was recovered this morning. It was found washed up on the beach at Cape Foulwind about seven miles south of Westport, by a fisherman. Mr. 11. Sutherland. The body was identified this afternoon by a seaman of the Kaimai, which is in poijt, only by the clothes.
■Mr. Scoliay is believed to be a son of Mr. and Mrs. Scoliay, Port Chalmers. An inquest will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m.
After sitting for nearly four weeks in Auckland, the industrial magistrate, Mr. J. A. Gilmour, has completed all business requiring bis attention iu that city and will leave for southern centres this week. He will open a short session in New Plymouth next Friday and twill later go on to Wanganui, where he is expected on. March 25.
