ORDER OF ST. JOHN

Commandery To Meet In Auckland Meetings of the Commandery in New Zealand of the Grand Priory in the British Realm of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem will be held in Auckland this week, this being the first occasion that the meetings have been held away from Wellington. The first gathering will be the annual general meeting next Friday.

Among the officers of the movement who are expected to attend arc the Knight - Commander, Sir Heaton Rhodes, mid Colonel J. J. Essou, lieutenant and Deputy-Knight-Commauder. A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sir Charles Statham, and Sir James Elliott, Knight of Grace, are also expected to attend. It is expected that formal business will be completed on Friday. Saturday’s programme has not yet been settled, but tlie following day ambulance, nursing and cadet divisions will parade for inspection by the knight commander and other officers. The parade will be followed by a service in St. Matthew's Church.
