L. G. MORRIS WINS WITH A PUPPY

New Role For Well-known Horse-Trainer Mr. L. G. Morris, well-known horsetrainer and former leading jockey, had a success in a new avenue on Saturday when his Irish.water spaniel, Major of Riversdale, won the puppy water trial from, seven entries at the Hutt. Valley Kennel Club’s field aud water trials at Waiwetu. Mr. Morris was not there to lead in his winner which was handled by Mr. W. Southee in the'trial. Mr. Southee trains the puppy. It is one of the progeny of a dog and bitch imported from Ireland by Mr. P. W. Willson, Lower Hutt.
