The weather was showery yesterday for tiie final events of the annual demonstrations of the United Fire Brigades’ Association of New Zealand. As a result of the week’s competitions Carterton proved the most successful brigade, taking tiie largest share of the prize money, in addition to ‘Winning the championship and the high-pres-sure and manual shields. Petone was the next most successful brigade and was runner-up for all three shields.
