MADRAS STEAK

Take 2 or 31b. of bladebone steak and cut it into medium-sized pieces. Roll well in flour, sprinkle well with flour a large casserole or covered dish. Lay m the steak. Slice up 2 large onions and lay over the meat. Mix together 1 tablespoon of curry-powder with 3 tablespoons of vinegar, pepper and salt, and enough water to cover the steak. Pour over and cover the dish and cook in a slow oven for 2 or 3 hours. Serve with plenty of boiled rice.
