NEW' DAFFODILS
Being Offered Now I£js a welcome sign that in quite a number of this season’s daffodil lists many of the newer varieties are offered at a price that not only brings them within reach of most gardeners, but allows of their being planted, if not in large at least in mod-est-sized clumps that will be effective enough for garden decoration. There are many of the newer varieties possessed of all the qualities most desired in a garden daffodil—sound constitution, good strong stems, flowers of good form and substance that will stand up to the buffeting of rain and wind, and whose colouring will retain its purity and brilliance in bright sun—and it is all to the good that there are now many of them obtainable at a figure sufficiently reasonable to make their planting for garden decoration not a very/expensive matter. Most of them are well worth growing, for they are far ahead of many of the older kinds that are commonly grown at present. It is now time to commence planting.
