Nils Asther in England

ASTHER, one of Hollywood’s best-looking stars, who played opposite Greta Garbo and Joan Crawford has also arrived in England to star in his first English film, which will be “Abdul Hamid,” to be directed at Elstree by Karl Grime for British International Pictures. Mr. Asther will play the part of the chief of police in Constantinople in the film which is to be based on incidents in the life bf Abdul Hamid, called Abdul the Damned and Abdul the Tyrant, who, for his cruelty to the Turks, was eventually deposed.
