Mr. H. C. Walker’s Appointment

The news of Mr. H. C. Walker’s appointment as aviation officer in New Zealand for the Vacuum Oil Company Pty., Ltd., has been well received in aviation circles. For. the last twelve months this position lias been held by Mr. W. Machin, in the dual capacity of New Zealand advertising manager and aviation officer, but iu view of the likely early development of commercial aviation and the progress of flying generally in the Dominion, the appointment of a full-time aviation officer was made.

Mr. Walker acted as co-pilot and navigator to Squadron .Leader McGregor in the .Melbourne centenary air race, 'and is captain of the Manawa tn Aero Club. He will take up his new duties to-day.
