ODDFELLOWS ORDER
4 — Manchester Unity Meetings Sister N. Williams presided at a meeting of Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge, M.U. 1.0.0. F., on Tuesday evening. A surprise visit ’was paid by officers and members of the Loyal Britannia I edge. They were accorded a very cordial welcome, and the Noble Grand or Loyal Britannia Lodge, Bro. Wickens, was.complimented on stimulating interest in fraternal visits between the various lodges. - The 1935 social programme was considered, and will be submitted at next meeting for finalisation. Loyal Antipodean Lodge.—Past Grand Brother G. Read as acting Noble Grand presided at a' large attendance ou Tuesday. Nominations for district office were received as follow: —Deputy D.G.M., Bro. G. Craddock; management committee, Bros. G. Craddock, W. B. Moseley and T. Mulcahy. Nominations for 'delegates for tlie biennial movable conference were:—Bros. A. C. Blair, E. W. Guise and G. Craddock. T)iree nominations for membership of the lodge were received. Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge.—The fortnightly meeting was held at Carterton on January 28! There was a fair attendance, and Bro. F. S. Wilkins presided. One candidate was proposed for advancement to the purpje degree at the past grands’ meeting to be held at Martinborough on January 31. The following nominations were received for district office: —District Grand Master, Bro. K. Cropp; Deputy D.G.M., Bro. A. Rippon; district management committee. Bros. A. Rippon, 11. R. Tilson. R. Farrow and Sister E. McFarlane.
The question of commencing a juvenile lodge in Carterton was discussed, and it was resolved that the matter be more fully discussed at tlie quarterly summoned meeting in February.
