Farewell to Mr. Owen Pritchard The Town Hall, Wellington, was filled yesterday by community singers, who toos the, opiHjrtunity to bid farewell to the popular song leader, Mr. Owen Pritchard, and Mrs. Pritchard, who are leaving shortly for Gisborne. The Mayor, Mr. T. C. X. Hislop, presided and presented Mr. Pritchard

with a mantel clock and Mrs. Pritchard with a bouquet from members of the committee and friends. As a result of a collection the sum of £2l 15/10 will be added to the Mayor’s relief fund. Mr.*' Hislop, in making the presentation, said community singing had been very successful in Wellington during the last four years and had given pleasure to thousands, at the same time materially assisting the Mayor’s relief fund. Mr. Pritchard and other members had given indefatigable service. Now Mr. Pritchard was going to Gisborne for a well-earned rest. The Mayor asked Mr, and Mrs. Pritchard to take with them the best wishes and grateful thanks of all who had taken

part in the numerous community sings led by Mr. Pritchard. After Mr. Pritchard had replied he led the gathering in singing. Assistance was given by Miss Iris Mason and Messrs. Will Mason, H. F. Wood and Frank Crowther.
