The Federal Company advises that the Now Zealand Shipping Company’s Opawa left Bluff yesterday morning for New Plymouth, there to complete discharge, and to load on February 6 for London. She will complete lit Waikokopu, Auckland and Wellington. She is due here on February 25, and will sail Anally from here on February 28. by way of Cape Horn. PORT AT.MA AWAY. The Commonwealth and Dominion vessel Port Alma sailefl finally from Napier on Tuesday for London, via Cape Horn and Dakar. PORT GISBORNE DELAYED. The Commonwealth aud Dominion Line's Port Gisborne, now at Auckland to complete loading for New York, London. Liverpool and Glasgow, is now to sail finallv on February 6. She will go by way ot the Panama Canal. ■ MAMARI TO-JIORKOW. The Shaw, Savill Company’s Mamari was at Lyttelton yesterday, and is due here tomorrow. She will sail on Saturday for Wanganui to complete her Homeward loading, and will sail on February 6 for London, Avonmoutli, Liverpool aud Glasgow, via the Panama Canal. 'PANKER OILRELIANCE. The British motor-tanker Oilreiianee is reported to have been chartered by Associated Motorists to load 8000 gallons of bulk oil nt a Russian Black Sea port fnr New Zealand. The Oilreiianee was built in 1929. and is a vessel of 5666 tons gross. She has cargo for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin, ami is expected to reach Auckland about March 13. BRISBANE MARU COMING. Tlie Brisbane Jlaru is to leave Hobart on Saturday next for Wellington. She is due here on February 7. and will said the following day for Auckland, thenee to Australia and Japan. The Federal Company are her agents. THE CANADIAN VICTOR. The British Indian freighter Querintba from Calcutta, bringing surplus cargo which tlie Union Company’s Narbada was unable to load, arrived yesterday at Auckland from Sydney to complete discharge. The Union Steam Ship Company's liner Monowai is due at Wellington from Melbourne and Sydney on Monday morning. Later in tlie day- site will leave again on a pleasure cruise to Milford Sound, from which she is due baek on February 8, sailing tliat afternoon on the return trip to Australia. MAKURA FROM FRISCO. 'Pin- i nion Company's liner Jlakura, which left San Franeiseo on January 16 for New Zealand mid Australia by way of Papeete mid Rarotonga, is due here on Monday. Site will leave tor Sydney on the following day. IMPERIAL STAR’S RADIO. The Blue Star Line have been advised by radio that tlie Imperial Star, which loft Belfast in ballast on Jmiuary 3. expects to reach Auckland at noon on Sunday. After loading at Auckland, she will call, here from February 8 to February It, and will complete at Timaru, Bluff and Port Chalmers. She will sail finally from the latter port on February 21 for London, via the Panama Canal. HUNTINGDON DUE. Tlie Federal Company have received a radio message from tlie Huntingdon, advising that she expects to reach New Plymouth to-morrow at 6 a.m. Tlie Huntingdon left Falmouth in ballast on December 19. November was a fairly good month for the Seottisli shipyards, contracts having been received for a 9000-ton cruiser, mi 11.000-ton passenger motor-ship, an 8000ton cargo steamer, a 3090-ton timber and eoal-carrving steamer, two dredgers, four tugs, live lighters, a 120-ton motor yacht, a pilot cutter and a caisson, and orders are in prospect for another passenger mo-tor-ship and some cargo steamers. In the course of tlie month the Clyde yards launched six vessels of 23,000 tons, making flic total for the year 54 vessels of 227.000 tons. A iimnber of vessels are nearing the launching stage so that tlie total output for 1931 should be over 250.000 tons, or almost as much as the combined oinput of the previous tiiree years.
