The Federal Company advises that the Now Zealand Shipping Company’s Opawa left Bluff yesterday morning for New Plymouth, there to complete discharge, and to load on February 6 for London. The British motor-tanker Oilreiianee is reported to have been chartered by Associated Motorists to load 8000 gallons of bulk oil nt a Russian Black Sea port fnr New Zealand. The Oilreiianee was built in 1929. and is a vessel of 5666 tons gross. She has cargo for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin, ami is expected to reach Auckland about March 13. ORDERS FOR SCOTTISH YARDS. November was a fairly good month for the Seottisli shipyards, contracts having been received for a 9000-ton cruiser, mi 11.000-ton passenger motor-ship, an 8000ton cargo steamer, a 3090-ton timber and eoal-carrving steamer, two dredgers, four tugs, live lighters, a 120-ton motor yacht, a pilot cutter and a caisson, and orders are in prospect for another passenger mo-tor-ship and some cargo steamers. In the course of tlie month the Clyde yards launched six vessels of 23,000 tons, making flic total for the year 54 vessels of 227.000 tons. A iimnber of vessels are nearing the launching stage so that tlie total output for 1931 should be over 250.000 tons, or almost as much as the combined oinput of the previous tiiree years.
