A valuable consignment of purebred Polled Shorthorn cattle is on board the American steamer Golden Cloud, which arrived from Los Angeles on Monday evening. The animals, which include three bulls and nine cows, are from different States in America, and they were loaded at San Pedro. They are for stud purposes and will be landed at Sydney. During the voyage one cow died from the effect of beat in the tropics.
