ALTERING UNIFORM
Christchurch School Proposal By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, January 29. A reference to the proposal to make alterations to the uniform worn by pupils of the Christchurch Boys’ High School was made at a meeting of the Canterbury College Council. A motion was passed that the council is strongly of the opinion that it should be consulted by the headmaster before any changes are made. It was stated that the changes planned consisted of .shorts with a different cut and hang to make them conform to popular taste, and a cap that fitted the head more closely and with a slightly larger peak, and a metal cap badge to replace the embroidered monogram. One member said that he would prefer the boys to be without "that open collar business that makes them look as though they came from nowhere.”
