Wellington Market Quiet YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS There was a quiet market yesterday on the Wellington Stock Exchange, with prices generally steady. There was a good demand for Government loans, with a slight hardening tendency, for some of the issues, and few sellers in the market. Banks were steady,'with a fair inquiry, though New South Wales tended to ease. New Zealands were steadier at the lower figures of the last few days, selling on Monday at 50/3, and yesterday at uO/-, with late buyers offering 49/0 and sellers holding* for 50/3. The D long term also steadied under a good inquiry, changing hands late on Monday at 29/-, and yesterday, after a sale at 2S/10, four parceis changed hands at 29/-. . Most of the other sections were quiet. Wilson’s Cement selling at 33/0. In the mining section Big Bivers firmed, selling late on Monday at 2/1, with buyers yesterday offering 2/3-1 and- sellers holding for 2/7.
