MARAMA’S CRUISE

Visit to Marlborough Sounds The Union Company’s liner Marama, which arrived yesterday morning from Sydney with about 250 passengers aboard, sailed in the evening' for a pleasure cruise of the Marlborough Sounds. The route which the Marama is expected to follow takes her first round Stephen Island into Port Hardy, where she will anchor in the South Arm. Thence she will sail right back to Queen Charlotte Sound, making a ' detour into Ship Qove after entering the Sound by the channel between Motuara and Mount Furneaux. Later she will penetrate the winding landlocked passages of Pelorus Sound as far as Conuiston Water, in the very heart of the Marlborough Sounds. A visit will be paid to Tennyson Inlet before the Marama’s return on Friday to Wellington, to sail the same day for Sydney. The following passengers booked for the cruise:— Miss M. Allen, Miss B.
