Miss C. Bayly, Wanganui, is visiting Mrs. Douglas, Hamilton. Miss Frances Harty, Wellington, left for the south last evening. Mrs. D. Gordon was a passenger from Wellington for the south last evening. Mrs. 11. A. Bown, Ilataitai, left for the south last evening.
Mrs. J. IV. Fergie, Ilataitai, has left for the South Island. Miss Bunny, Lower Hutt, is the guest of Mrs. Maurice Earle, Wanganui. Miss M. P. Milnes, Eketahuna, is visiting Mrs. W. A. MeLeavey, Ohan.
Miss Jefferson, Wellington, is staying with relatives at Tauranga. Miss I. Howe, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Upper Hutt. Mrs. J. Bruce has returned to Wellington from a holiday at Auckland. The Rev. F. 11. Taylor and Mrs. Taylor left by the Rangatira last evening en route to Stewart Island. Mr. ami Mrs. 8. L. Parsons, who were in Wellington for the races, returned to Wanganui yesterday. Miss Edna Reid, Dunedin, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. F. M. Reid. Wellington. Mrs. M. J. Suhau, who has been a visitor to Auckland, has returned to Levin. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Port, Levin, have left for a trip to the Marlborough Sounds.
Mrs. L. T. Whelan, Wanganui, is staying with Lieutenant-Colonel and Mrs. R. Evatt, "Wellington. Mrs. and Miss Gidding, South Africa, are visiting Wellington and are staying at the Midland Hotel. Miss Molly MacDonald has returned to "Wanganui after a holiday at Wellington. Lady Russell, Tunanui, Hastings, was a passenger from "Wellington last .evening for the south.
Miss Lola Kelly has returned to Wellington after spending three nionths in Australia.
Mrs. Toppin, Lower Hutt, is the guest of Mrs. Louden, Little River, Canterbury., Dr. J. B. Baird and Mrs. Baird have returned to Wanganui from a motoring tour in North Auckland. Miss J. Wa’llace-Smith, "Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. F. Moore, “Ratanui,” Wanganui. Mrs. D. Abernethy, who has been visiting New Plymouth, has returned to Wanganui. Miss Diana Goldsmith, Brooklyn, who has been visiting Dunedin, has returned to Wellington."
Miss Joy "Wilson, Feilding, has left for a cruise to the Marlborough Sounds.
Miss Amy Kane is to leave Wellington on February 8 for Sydney to connect with the Otranto for Bort Said. Mrs. Simmons, Miss P. Simmons and Mrs. G. McDonald, Patea, are visiting Wellington. , Mrs. Frank Ansell, Auckland, and her small son, have arrived at Wellington from the north. Mrs. F. B. Hall and Mrs. E. Sweeney, Havelock North, are the guests of Mrs. W. F. Hall, Northland. Mrs. Matheson, Auckland, arrived at "Wellington yesterday to visit her sister Mrs. J. B. Mac Ewan, Fitzherbert Terrace.
Miss E. Ede, who has been spending a holiday with her aunt, Mrs. A. Finnie, Hornby, has returned to her home at Wellington. Mrs. George Luke, who, with her children, has been visiting Napier for the past month, returned to Wellington by ear yesterday. Mrs. B. Sutherland and her daughter, Miss Jean Sutherland, “Homewood,” Karori, left "Wellington last evening for Christchurch. Miss Mona Castle, and Miss Elsie Greeu, who have been on a tour of the North Island, returned to Wellington yesterday. , Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Currie, who were in Wellington for the races, have returned to Wanganui. Miss Y. Pain, Sydney, Mrs. Currie’s niece, is their guest. Mrs. Wilkinson and Miss Peggy Wilkinson, who have been the guests of Mrs. Cosford, Pahiatua, have returned to their home at Masterton, accompanied by Mrs. Cosford. Dr. H. A. Cunningham and Mrs. Cunningham, and their daughters Joan and Pauline have returned to Epsom, Auckland, after spending a fortnight with Mrs. Beckingsale, Masterton.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Walker, Wanganui, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. W. Walker and Miss Walker, Edinburgh, Scotland, are on a motor tour to Rotorua, Tauranga and Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. Walker and Miss Walker will leave Auckland by the Aorangi. They intend returning next year to visit Russell.
Miss Roma Spedding, “Chellon Dene,” Lonsdale Street, New Brighton, will leave this week for "Wellington to join the Marama for Sydney. After spending a few weeks at Sydney, Miss Spedding will .stay with her sister, Mrs. L. Fisher, Grenfell, New South "Wales. Dr. and Mrs. L. G. Austin returned to "Wellington from Sydney by the Marama yesterday. While in Australia, Dr. Austin, through the courtesy of the Hospitals Commission, made a detailed study of the organisation and buildings of the hospital system of New South "Wales.
