Petone Club’s Race From ■' Three Kings The Petone Homing Pigeon Club flew its last race of the old bird programme over the week-end from Three Kings, a distance of over 500 miles air-line. The birds were liberated by the captain of the s.s. Monowai on Saturday morqing, and arrived home on Sunday morning. The following are the placings:— Timed in. a.m. Smith and Son’s Ladylike ... 9.20.59 Bold and Son’s Ava Queen ... 9.46.26 P. Mexted’s Just Out 9.51.7 Bold and Son’s Summertime .. 11.14.14 J. Bolton’s Sunrise 11.52.52 p.m. Bold and Son’s Harolds Black 1.25. S J. Bolton’s Sundown 2.18.50 The points for the old bird season are as follow: —J. Bolton, 50 points; Bold and Son, 42; P. Mexted, 37; G. Woodward, 30; Smith and Son, 30. The first race for the young birds will be flown on February 16 from Palmerston North.
