AVIATION IN NEW ZEALAND
Special in terest attaches to Ihe December number of “Shell Aviation News," a well produced and illustrated magazine, since special attention has been paid to New Zealand. There is a three page article dealing with aviation in New Zealand, its history and organisation, meteorological conditions, and Information and advice as to regulations and procedure for visiting pilots. As a supplement n twopage general aviation map of New Zealand is provided giving the location, of the various aerodromes, their height above sea level, nnd magnetic bearings. This map is the first of its kind published, and for that reason, as well as its general excellence, will be especially welcome.
Outstanding among the other contents of the number are au excellent and well illustrated article on the remarkable German flying boat service across the South Atlantic, via the depot ships Westfallen and Schwabenland, and a technical feature “The future development of high anti-knock aviation fuels.”
