“Protecting 1 Public From Mad Driving” COMMENT BY JUDGE London, January 25. The Northants cricketer Jupp was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment for manslaughter and disqualified for driving for two years. The judge said that Jupp had been a motorist of good character for twentyeight years, but the public must be protected from the consequence of mad driving. Jupp, in evidence, said he got into a skid and lost control of the car.
