Two Youths Before Court
Two youths were charged in the Children’s Court, .Wellington, on Saturday, with, disorderly conduct, obscene language and committing mischief in the Are Street district. The boy charged with obscene language denied it, but two women residents and a constable gave evidence to prove the charge. It was said that the boys fought in the street over a girl and that they damaged a fence. Mr. AV. F. Stilwell, S.M., said that the two were inclined to become young larrakins and were due to be pulled up. They were placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Department and ordered not to be out after S p.m. One who had been in trouble before was, in addition, prohibited from being in the city nt all unless accompanied by a responsible person over 21 years of age. Mr. Stilwell advised them not to associate'with the type of girl over whom tbev were said to have quarrelled and warned them that they would be sent to Weraroa if they did not obey the instructions of the court.
