The membership was 31, compared with 46 the previous year, but an increase was expected this year. Accumulated funds amounted to nearly the matters brought to the attention of the committee was the state of disrepair in which it was said the boatsheds were allowed to remain by the owners, and it was, suggested that the county council deprive owners of the sites they occupied if they did not keep the sheds in order, it being pointed out 'that no more could be erected and they were specially privileged. The meeting carried a motion of confidence in Mr. R. W. Bothamley, chairman of the Makara County Council, who was present, and a motion of thanks to Mr. A. Wright, beach custodian. , ’ Mrs. Thomas Young was elected a life member, several praising her work for the district. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. W. E. Windley; president, Mr E.
