An outbreak of lire occurred last mouth in the St. James’s Theatre, Sydney, owned by Mr. John Fuller and leased to the Met ro-Goldwyn-Mayer Corporation. The fire broke out behind the switchboard that controls the lighting of the theatre. It is believed that a fuse blew out;.there was a minor explosion and the fire spread rapidly along the board. A large audience, mostly children, were marched out of the theatre without any sign of panic.
