Man Has Both Ankles Fractured

By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, January 25.

Fractures of both ankles were received by a young man, J. Boyle, when the ear be was driving was struck by the Wellington-New Plymouth train at the Egmont Hoad crossing, near New Plymouth; to-night. The car was almost on the line before he saw the train. His attempt to jump clear was not made quickly enough to save his being carried with the car for nearly a chain.
