A fire tragedy in a lighthouse on a lonely rock in the Chaeao Channel is revealed in an announcement by the Chilian Navy Department. The fire broke out on the Treseruces Lighthouse. Five people, including the children of the lighthouse keeper, were burned to death, while a sixth was seriously injured. All provisions were destroyed. A tug, with a doctor on board, aud provisions, was sent to the lighthouse. Passengers to the number of 83,100 were carried ou British commercial aircraft in 1933.
