Education Board Pleased By Demonstration The highly successful school children’s demonstration at Newtown Park on the occasion of the welcome to the Duke of Gloucester, and the part played by the chairman of the Wellington Education Board, Mr. W. V. Dyer, the secretary, Mr, E. S. Hylton (organiser) and others associated with the function, were referred to by Mr. A. Donald at yesterday’s meeting cf the board. Mr. Donald warmly commended Mr. Dyer and Mr. Hylton. The chairman, said the speaker, arranged for the members of the board to be presented to the Duke—an action which was much appreciated. Mr. P. Robertson, who spoke similarly, mentioned the excellent work, of the secretary and those with him in the organisation of the demonstration. The part played by the school teachers was emphasised by Mr. L. J. McDonald, who applauded their cooperation in the ceremony. On his motion it was resolved to record the board’s appreciation of all who bad contributed to the success of the occasion.
