VERY FINE PROFESSOR
Victoria College Tribute to Late Chancellor Regret nt the death of the Chancellor of the University of New Zealand, Professor J. Macmillan Brown, was expressed by the Victoria College Council last evening. The chairman. Mr. P. Levi, moved that the council record its regret at the Chancellor’s death, and convey its condolences to the members of his family. Mr. T. R. Cresswell seconded the motion, as an old student of Professor Macmillan Brown. “He was a very fine professor indeed, and he did a wonderful deal of good for his students and for education in New Zealand,” Mr. Cresswell said. He held the late Chancellor in very great reverence and esteem.
