Mr. and Mrs. Harold Greenwood, Teviotdale, North Canterbury, are visiting Wellington. Miss Ruth Royds has returned to Christchurch from a holiday visit to Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs George S. Ellis, Christchurch, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Phijip Turner. Brunswick, ’Wanganui.
Mr. and Mrs. Win. Oliver left Wanganui on Thursday on a seven months’ trip to the Old Country. Mrs. B. Cameron, Te Kuiti, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. E. Cutfield, Wanganui.
Miss J. 'White, Taumarunui, is visiting 'Wellington for the Fussell-Plank wedding, which will take place next week.
■Wellington guests registered at the Hermitage recently have been Miss S. Ogilvie, Miss E. Anderson, and Miss 8. Chappell. Mrs. W. 11. Meddings has returned to Christchurch from a three months’ visit to 'Wellington, where she was the guest of Mrs. 11. E. Chapman, Oriental Parade. Dr. and Mrs. J. B. Condlift'e, Christchurch. and their daughter, who have been staying at 'Wellington, are now visiting New Plymouth. Miss Dorothy Day, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. IV. Day, Christchurch, will return to 'Wellington to-day. Mrs. Corliss- and Miss Valerie Corliss have returned to Wellington from a month’s holiday at Queen Charlotte Sounds.
Mrs. J. C. Pairman, with ’ter daughters, Dorothy and Margaret, have returned to Christchurch after their Wellington holiday. Miss Freda Anderson is a Wellington visitor to Wanganui, and is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Anderson. Miss Moira O’Halloran, Dunedin, has arrived at "Wellington, to take up the position of advertising manager of the D.I.C.
Mrs. McKee, Nelson, and Miss Margaret Madden, 'Wellington, who have been spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. ■ G. Luoni at their Paraparaumu cottage, have returned home.
Mr. J. W. Collins, New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Canada, left for the south, with Mrs. Collins, on 'Wednesday. They expect to be back at 'Wellington about the end of February.
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Kellow, of 'Wellington, with Miss N. Kellow, will arrive at Christchurch at the w’eek-end for the marriage of their son, Mr. J. Kellow, Wanganui, to Miss Edith Flower next week./
Miss Una Greenwood and Mr. L. 11. G. Greenwood (Cambridge, England), arrived on Sunday by the Remuera, and after spending a few days at Eastbourne with the Misses Greenwood, have gone on to Christchurch. They intend returning to England in April. News has been received from London of the engagement of Miss Nola Clarke, elder daughter of Mrs. K. Hunter Clarke, and the late James Clarke, New Plymouth, to Mr. Frank Parsons, 'Warwickshire, England. The marriage will take place in the spring, and they will make their home in London.
