Marc Antony’s Oration
’Pill’ famous "Friends, Romans, countrymen—” speech which Marc Antony delivered over Caesar’s body was no creation of Shakespeare’s. Cecil B. De Mille, Paramount director, discovered an ancient Greek transcription of the oration which be had translated into modern English and used in its proper place in his Paramount picture. “Cleopatra.” The Greek document was undoubtedly the nouree from which Shakespeare drew the material which
