Melody; and Mirth

yV CINDERELLA story, with a poor "■ male relation as the counterpart of the famous young lady of our nursery days, is “Mr. Cinders,” which was screened privately in Wellington a few days ago. Produced by British International Pictures, this entertaining adaptation of the popular musical comedy is, without doubt, one of the cleanest and most amusing romances over screened. Witli Clifford Mollison as the poor relation, Zelma O’Neal as an American heiress who, for a lark, goes into domestic service in the house of a particularly snobbish county family,, and the Weston Brothers as two typical English “silly asses,” the picture tells of plots to get the two brothers into the good books of the American family and of the subsequent adventures which result in the poor relation, “Mr. Cinders,” marrying the heiress. The show is presented in a bright-and breezy manner, and has an unusually novel opening chorus. The dialogue, which is interspersed with some very catchy vjeal numbers, is clever, and the character parts, of which there are many, are splendidly handled, every actor and actress being worthy of good parts in any film. “Mr. Cinders” is a picture that should appeal to every type of aullienee, and that is sure to meet with great success.
