Lorry Goes Over Bank When Letting Car Pass ACCIDENT NEAR KIMBOLTON Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, January 22. When a motor-lorry which lie was driving went over a 60 to 70ft. bank at Peep of Day, near Kimbolton, at 11 a.m. to-day, Percy Herbert Halford, a lorry driver, aged about 26, whose parents live at Waituna, was killed. Halford was driving a lorry laden with logs from Rangiwahia to Kimbolton and met on a bend a car driven by Mr. Arthur Myers. Halford pulled the lorry well over near the edge of the road to let the car pass and struck a post which caused the front wheels to lock The lorry ran off the road and down the bank. A doctor was called from Kimbolton, but Halford was dead when he arrived.
