TRADES TO BE TAUGHT
Unemployed Miners in Sweden In an effort to solve the unemployment problem, young men from mining districts in Sweden who are unable to find employment in the staple industry of their native place are being settled 'on an old agricultural estate where they will be given an opportunity to learn agriculture and trades such ns those of blacksmith, earpente* and tinsmith. Already applicants more than double the number the place will accommodate. The youths will be expected to keep a look out for employment so that their places can be taken by those on the waiting list. They will be fed and housed, and will receive a small daily wage.
