NEW CARGO SERVICE
New Zealand and Canada IMPROVEMENT IN TRADE Dominion Special Service. Auckland, January 22. Owing to the improvement in trade between Canada and New Zealand, Canadian National Steamships has arranged for a separate cargo service between the two countries, the vessels not calling at Australia. The Canadian Britisher, which arrived at Auckland from Halifax to-day, is inaugurating the service, which was discontinued some years ago owing to slackness of trade. After discharging and loading at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin, the vessel will return to Halifax via New York and Boston. Arrangements also have been made for steamers in the Canada-Australian service to return to Canada via Auckland, where they will load for New York. Boston and Halifax.
