Shipping Rationalisation (British Otticlal Wireless.) Rugby, January 19. The preliminary international conference on the rationalisation of shipping. which has been sitting in London throughout tlie week, has concluded its deliberations, it is officially announced (bat a draft scheme has been prepared for submission to national associations in the countries represented without in any way committing litem during its consideration. Certain alternative suggestions, it wtis added, would be the subject of careful study by tlie secretariat and a fuller communication is to ho issued in tlie course of a few days. It is understood that tlie drafting commit tee's proposals include the scrapping of surplus shipping and the establishment of mi international compensation final.
