OBITUARY
Sir Arthur Maxwell London, January 20. The death is announced of Colonel Sir Arthur Maxwell, managing partner of Glyn, Mills and Co., bankers, and director of the Union Bank of Australia, the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co., Elder, Dempster and Co., and many other companies. During the war he commanded the 174th Infantry Brigade, and was severely wounded, lie was mentioned in dispatches five times and awarded the D S.O. and liar. He was in his (501 h year.
