Gold and Silver Mallets YESTERDAY’S RESULTS The Gold aud Silver Mallet croquet tournament was continued in Wellington yesterday in beautiful weather. The lawns had been much improved by the heavy rain on Friday nlgnt ami all day Saturday; consequently the play was of a higher standard, and some very good breaks were made. Mrs. Henderson (Wellington), in the match against Mr. Bryan (Palmerston), made a break of 9 and another of 7, but missed a shot near the end of the game, which allowed Mr. Bryan to finism Mrs. Greig (Upper Hutt) was another outstanding player. Her shooting was excellent; consequently her opponents had very litle opportunity, the games being very quick. The following are the results of yesterday’s play A SECTION.
