GILBY’S COLLEGE

Chamber of Commerce Examination Results At the Chamber of Commerce Examinations held in November last, Gilby’s College presented 135 candidates in Shorthand Speed, Typewriting, Bookkeeping and Handwriting, 122 of whom were successful, equivalent to 90 per cent, of passes. This leaves a total of 81 students trained elsewhere who were also successful. In Shorthand Speed, Gilby’s College gined 13 passes with Honours, as compared with six by all other Colleges. In Typewriting and in Handwriting the seven passes with Honours awarded were all gained by Gilby’s College candidates. „ In Shorthand Speed, Gilby’s College gained 19 passes with Distinction, as compared with eight by all other Colleges ; in Typewriting, 25, as compared with one trained elsewhere.
