Wellington Market Active YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS There was more activity on the Wellington stock and share market yesterday, 19 sales being recorded, with prices ruling firm. Government' loans were again in strong demand, with the market almost bare of sellers. The 3i per cen t. stock, 1939-43 were done at £lO6/10/-. Banks remain very firm. New ZeaJands showed a further advance, selling at 50/6 and 51/-, while Commercials ot Australia changed hands at 16/9. Insurance shares continue very firm, buyers ot South British advancing their offers 6d. to £4/18/-, with sellers asking £4/19/-. In the miscellaneous section Dunlop Perdrians were done at 20/- and 19/11, Colonial Sugars at £4l/15/- and Wilson s Cement at 33/6. Waihi Grand Junctions were firmer with a sale at 4/8, and Mount Morgan’s advanced to sales at 38/6 and 39/-, while King Solomons were done at 3/6.
