CLAIMED AS A PRIZE

Vessel Found Drifting Hong-Kong, January 18. Six Japanese boarded the 3000-toa steamer Toa Marti, which was towed to Hong-Kong by a Chinese steamer which found her adrift in the China Seas with nobody aboard, and claimed her as a prize. The vessel was recently purchased by Japanese interests in Amoy, anil was being towed to Japan when she broke adrift. The Japanese remained aboard for eight hours when a British officer, who had been placed in charge •of the vessel, ordered the whole lot off. The Japanese then went ashore. It is believed that the ownership of the vessel will be disputed in the Courts.
